What does the bodyscan involve?

The bodyscan is a first screening to see how your body functions and where the pain complaints come from. This is done by mapping out your injury history. Did you have falls, accidents, operations or can we figure out any other possible causes of your pain? In addition, different tests will be performed to give insight to the therapist about possible “weak spots'' of your body.

Can I get reimbursement for my therapy sessions?

The reimbursement you will receive depends on your insurance company and the type of policy you have. Almost always a part of the costs will be reimbursed.

What is the cost of a single treatment?

A treatment at Physicum costs € 80,-.

How does the payment work?

Upon completion of the treatment you will receive an email with the invoice attached. You can pay the invoice with iDEAL.

How long does a treatment take?

At Physicum, a treatment always takes an hour. This is because we want to have sufficient time to treat you well.

What kind of clothes should I wear?

For the therapist, the most convenient way to carry out a treatment is when you are dressed in undergarment. We therefore advise you to wear undergarment in which you feel comfortable.

What distinguishes you from other physiotherapists?

At Physicum we work with different test methods to find out the origin of the pain. Often, it is possible to immediately solve the problem on the treatment table by treating the “energy leaks”. Sometimes, we will however choose to strengthen the weak spot through exercise. Another possibility is to combine these two.
First we will treat the pain on the treatment table and then continue in the training hall. There we make your body get strong enough so that the pain will stay away in future.

I have been seeing a therapist for a long time but my complaints stay the same. Could you change that?

Everybody is different and so is every pain source. Unfortunately, we can not give guarantees in the answer to this question. We often do see that within a couple of treatments at Physicum all pains disappear. On the other hand, sometimes we encounter certain complaints that simply do not “fit” our methods. In this case, we will refer you to another specialist that matches your type of pain circumstances better.

I have been seeing physiotherapists on and off. My complaints are gone for a moment but always come back. Can you find a lasting solution?

The reason that your complaints are gone for a moment and will eventually come back means that all attention was paid to combat the symptoms of your complaints. Through the tests we perform at Physicum we will, instead, be looking for the cause. This cause doesn’t necessarily have to be the place where you experience pain. By tackling the cause, your complaints will disappear for good.
